Cheers, London. Part 1.

The time between our flight out of Rome and our flight to London was only slightly more than twelve hours: we arrived back in Amsterdam around midnight, bussed to my apartment, repacked our bags with the addition of clean clothes, went to sleep for six hours, and then caught the bus back to the airport around 7am. Can you say whirlwind? We took it easy the first day, walking to Buckingham Palace and catching a production of Billy Elliott (sooooo good), and then once we’d had a good night’s rest, we hit it hard the next day and saw the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, went up in the London Eye, checked out Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and walked across both London Bridge and Tower Bridge. All in a day’s work.
