I’ve been listening to Adele’s new album for the past week and dear lord she has an incredible voice. I think the beauty of this video is all in the details: the water pulsing in the roomful of glasses, the pristine model city, the dishes shattering against the wall in slow motion. The interiors in the video are also really lovely. I love how the room Adele is sitting in is kind of dilapidated and run-down and the furniture is covered in plastic, but you can still tell that it was once a really beautiful and regal room; it’s a very subtle visual metaphor for looking back at what could have been that ties in with the song seamlessly.
