Music Video Monday #35: Best Coast’s “Our Deal.”

Last week, Best Coast’s video for “Our Deal” was released as part of MTV’s Supervideo series. It was directed by Drew Barrymore and stars Chloe Moretz (the best fourteen-year-old actor of all time) and Tyler Posey (aka Teen Wolf), and features a slew of young actors, including Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly), Donald Glover (Troy from Community) and Alia Shawkat (Maeby from Arrested Development). But aside from being a star-studded affair, the video is gorgeously styled and has a West Side Story-meets-Romeo & Juliet storyline: rival gangs, forbidden romance, and miscommunication that leads to tragedy. It’s sweet and sad and may have made me tear up a little (but don’t tell anyone). Since it has only been released via MTV, I couldn’t find a way to embed it in this post, but you can watch it here.
